Selective Admission Programs
Selective Admission Programs are high-demand programs that cannot accept everyone who applies. These programs have earlier admission deadlines, require additional application forms and have additional requirements
Requirements
You must be a current University of Hawaii student and have already submitted the UH System Application Form.
Application Instructions
- Attend an Information Session to learn about the program and admission requirements. Check Kapiolani Community College (KCC) News & Events for specific dates and times. See the Related Links section.
- Check Application Deadlines. Check KCC News & Events for specific dates and times. See the Related Links section.
- Complete the Application for Selective Admission Program (ASAP) Form.
- Complete any relevant Supplemental Program Application Forms. Links to specific program information is provided below.
- Submit your application and supporting documents to Kekaulike Information and Service Center (KISC) unless otherwise instructed.
You can view and print these PDF forms if you have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. See "Download Acrobat Reader" under the Related Links section.
Your completed application including all required forms and documents will be reviewed by the program's admissions committee. You will receive the committee's decision approximately four weeks after the deadline for applications.
- If you are currently enrolled at KCC, you will remain in your current major until you are officially accepted into the program.
- If you are currently enrolled at another UH system campus, your status and major at your school will not change. If you are officially accepted into the program, we will notify you about completing a Change of Home Institution form.
- If you are new to KCC and UH, you will be accepted as an unclassified student while your application is being reviewed. If you listed a second major on the ASAP form and it is not another selective admission program, you will be accepted into this major during the review process. If you are accepted into the selective admission program, the college will make the necessary changes.
If you are not accepted into the program, you may still enroll in KCC classes.
