Office of Student Activities (OSA)

The Office of Student Activities (OSA) provides students with a variety of co-curricular, multi-cultural, social, and leadership development activities and events.

OSA serves as "home" for student clubs, and the Board of Student Activities (BOSA).

Services

OSA also provides a wide array of convenience services such as medical and dental insurance information brochures, off-campus housing advertisement, campus bulletin board, "Lost-n-Found", locker rentals, discount movie tickets sales, monthly bus and U-Pass sales, and the UH Federal Credit Union representative uses Ohia 102 every Wednesdays from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. as a convenience to members. In addition, participation in the UH Manoa intramural sports program is available to KCC students.

Board of Student Activities (BOSA)

The three faculty and six student members on the Board of Student Activities (BOSA) advise the student activities coordinator and the college administration in the planning and implementation of co-curricular activities and program.

The primary goal of BOSA is based on the theme of "Learning by Doing." Specifically, BOSA encourages students to participate in all aspects of the campus student activities program. BOSA also awards grants to registered KCC student clubs for activities that directly benefit Kapiolani Community College (KCC) students. For more information contact the OSA coordinator.

OSA Activities

A variety of activities are planned each year to meet the needs of our diverse student population. Such activities include:

• Book buy & sell
• Musical and cultural performances during the mid-day
• Guest speaker series
• Student Club Day event inside the Ohia cafeteria
  
• Study with Your Buddy during final exams
• Ice cream parties
• Student talent show
• Fall and spring outdoor concerts
• Cactus-n-Coffee garden clean up
• International student Thanksgiving luncheon
