Parking Permits
Obtaining a Parking Permit
Parking permits are available at Auxiliary Services. Students may apply for a parking permit for lot A. Faculty and staff may apply for a parking permit for stalls reserved for staff.
Students:
Parking permits for lot A are available beginning the first day of registration. Permits are issued on a first come, first served basis. The number of permits is limited; thus, there is no guarantee that they will be available for all applicants.
Students must:
- Complete an application. The Student Parking Permit Lot A form is available in PDF Format to view, fill out, and print if you have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer;
- Present verification of tuition payment for the semester by showing a hard copy of online payment; payment from the Kekaulike Information and Service Center (KISC) cashier; or verification of financial aid, scholarship, or a tuition waiver;
- Present a current no fault insurance card;
- Be clear of unpaid campus traffic citations; and
- Come in person to receive their permits.
Permits are not required during the summer session.
Continuing Education Students:
Students enrolled in noncredit classes may request a temporary parking permit for lot A at Auxiliary Services or through their instructor.
Faculty and Staff:
Staff permits are available beginning July 1. Staff and faculty may apply for a permit to park in stalls reserved for staff. They must:
- Complete an application. The Staff Parking Permit form is available in PDF Format to view, fill out, and print if you have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer;
- Obtain their department chairperson's or unit head's approval;
- Present a current no fault insurance card;
- Be clear of unpaid campus traffic citations; and
- Pick up their permits in person at Auxiliary Services.
Staff permits are valid for one year from the first day of instruction through August 31.
General Information About Parking Permits
Transfer of Permits: Permits may not be sold or transferred. They are not transferable from one vehicle to another unless authorized by Auxiliary Services.
Display of Permits: Permits should be fully visible and displayed inside the vehicle, on the windshield, on the lower left (driver's side) corner. Static cling permits must adhere to the windshield. Vehicles with permits that are not fully visible or are displayed incorrectly will be ticketed.
Lost Permits: Report lost permits immediately. A replacement may be obtained and should be installed prior to parking. Vehicles without a valid replacement will be cited. Security will not honor a business card or a note displayed on a vehicle. The vehicle will be cited.
Parking Permits Not Required During Designated Hours: During weekdays, parking without a permit is allowed in unmarked stalls in lot A after 4:00 p.m. Parking without a permit is allowed in staff stalls anywhere on campus after 4:00 p.m. Permits are not required anytime during the weekend and on holidays.
Staff Parking Permit, Auxiliary Services (PDF Form)
Permits for faculty and staff are valid for one calendar year (September 1st to August 31st). Permits are issued from July 1st of each year. Faculty and staff can apply for a parking permit which will authorize parking in designated staff parking stalls.
♦ Complete the KCC Staff Application for Parking Permit and retain the information on Parking Rules and Regulations for your reference. ♦ The application must be signed by your Chairperson, Department Head or Dean. ♦ Bring your completed application in person to the Auxiliary Services Office in Olopua 103. ♦ All application blanks must be completed before a permit can be issued. ♦ Only one permit will be issued per person. ♦ All outstanding traffic citations must be paid before a permit can be issued. ♦ Be sure to obtain a receipt from the Business Office when paying for violations. ♦ You must sign for your permit in person; a proxy may not sign on your behalf. |
